SCASP Awards
SCASP currently offers three awards for school psychologists in the state and those who have invested time in the education of children, either directly or indirectly. SCASP encourages its members to nominate a deserving colleague for recognition through SCASP's Awards. Criteria have been established for these three awards and are listed directly below. SCASP also offers the opportunity for regional representatives to receive a regional award (Excellence Award) for exemplary achievement following their tenure if the criteria listed below are met.
Excellence in the Practice of School Psychology
CRITERIA
- The nominee must be a practicing school
psychologist and a member of SCASP
- The nominee must show outstanding service in the
practice of school psychology
- The nominee should have demonstrated notable
effort(s) to expand the role of the school psychologist
either locally or statewide.
Outstanding Contributions in the Field of School Psychology
CRITERIA
- The nominee must show outstanding service promoting
the profession of school psychology.
- The nominee's contributions should show widespread
efforts of work on a regional or statewide basis.
- The nominee should have demonstrated effort(s) to
improve overall services to children through support
and improvement of existing school psychology
services.
Outstanding Contributions in Education
CRITERIA
- The nominee should be concerned with the profession
of education in general.
- The nominee should have made notable
contribution(s) to education in South Carolina which,
directly or indirectly, have improved services to
children.

Excellence Award
Can be earned by a Regional Representative
following their tenure if the following criteria are
met:
- The region has submitted at least one article for 4
out of the 6 of the SCASP newletters. The articles may
be in the form of general information and/or updates on
regional activities.
- Four meetings of the region have been held during
the designated year that runs from July 1 to June
30.
- The region will have submitted, or updated, at
least two names to SCASP's Resource Bureau.
- The region will have provided at least two items for the SCASP annual auction held during the Spring Conference.
