Building Fidelity in Your MTSS Implementation
The session will discuss procedures and tools for implementation within all three tiers of a MTSS (Multi-tiered System of Support) for the purpose of building fidelity. The content of the discussion will be drawn from current research and eighteen years of practical implementation experience. Attendees will be given knowledge and tools for analyzing fidelity within each tier and for engaging in the TIPS process to determine the appropriate actions for increasing the level of fidelity in each tier. Ensuring that there is an acceptable level of fidelity within the MTSS is crucial before the system can be used as an SLD eligibility determination process.
Presenter
Dr. Tom Jenkins has researched and worked in a MTSS for the last nineteen years. Dr. Jenkins obtained his Master’s and Educational Specialist Degrees from James Madison University and his Doctoral Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia . He has performed over 450 trainings on the local, state, national, and international levels addressing all components of MTSS.
